So, I got up at 515am

and went to the gym. I've attempted it so many times before but I actually got myself out of bed this time Chat Icon

it was AWESOME! The roads were empty, the gym was empty and I even saw the sunrise on my way back...

I am so much more awake and I love that I don't have to think about going tonight! I think I'll keep it up Chat Icon

I am sticking with this workout thing ... I WILL lose weight and get in shape if it kills me Chat Icon

That's my favorite time to go too! The gym is empty, all machines available and no one is in my way. Not only that but then my day is started off on the right foot!

Good for you! Funny you say that about the sunrise too, it's one of my favorite things about getting up so early in the morning.

It's so funny to me how we have to retrain our brains. Every morning when I wake up I think "Is this a workout day?" and if it is, I grumble about it. But I LIKE exercising now. It's so silly. I guess it's habit talking.

After months of doing this, I really do notice a different in my demeanor on days that I work out versus days I don't. I find I deal with stress at work SO much better if I've had a workout that morning!

I completely agree!!! I feel much better on the days I do workout!!! I have more energy, I deal with stress better, etc. I hate the way I feel now when I don't go. Going in the morning is the best!!! It starts my day now!

That's great! It's tough I do 3 early mornings a week and although I hate waking up I am so happy when I get there and am done for the day. Plus my day feels so much better!

Awesome! I initially dreaded the thought of workout out in the morning (5am too)...but now I could never imagine beggining my day any other way. It took me abut 2 months for it to truly feel part of my morning routine. Keep it up!!

good for you, I find that I have to work out first thing in the morning, otherwise when I get home from work i'll never want to since I'm so drained. Keep it up w/ your new routine!

Love early workouts,...I too watched sunrise on way home as my window fogged up from the heat I expelled..lol..

Knowing your workout is done for the day at 6:30am is PRICELESS!

That's awesome!!!!!!! I know it is so good for you, really gets your metabolism going for the day ahead. And the great thing is once the workout is done, you don't have to think about fitting it in at night.

I'm so jealous, I'd love to get my workouts over with early in the morning before work, but I'd have to get to the gym by 5:30 or so in order to have enough time before getting to the train and I am SO NOT a morning person-- I literally can't even get out of bed before 6:30 anymore [DH has to shut off my alarm for me , hits snooze, gets up the second time & shuts it for me again, turns on the light & has to yell so I will get upChat Icon and even then it is SO difficult!] The first half hour I'm up I'm just shuffling around, can hardly get dressed & then finally I snap out of it, rush around & get ready in 15 minutes & run out the door-- it is pathetic! So forget working out in the morning, not happening, but I WISH I COULD!!!
