TTC and starting Clomid 1st time
I am TTC for about a year now. I have annovulation issues although I do ovulate once every few months. The one time I did ovulate in June 2011 I misscarried after 4 weeks. I havent ovulated since. My doctor wants to start me on clomid next month for the first time as my HSG came back pretty much clear. Thank God. Im a little confused and nervous about Clomid. He also told me I have a slight chance of having an ectopic? But only a slight chance. I am very nervouse about that now. Anyone have experience good or bad on Clomid? Also, anyone want to be clomid buddies?

Re: TTC and starting Clomid 1st time
do you have PCOS? clomid is a miracle drug for some and does nothing for others. try to be open minded that it may not work. if it does then great, if it doesnt you have other options. are you seeing an RE? i wouldnt do clomid with an OB/GYN unless you are being closely monitored to make sure it works. if you have anovulation and haven't confirmed why, you should def be seeing an RE. good luck!

Re: TTC and starting Clomid 1st time
My OBGYN has been monitoring me for 8 months. I do have cysts on one ovary. He has been monitoring my OV cycles and he suggested I start Clomid. I NEVER get the happy face on my OV kit. The one time I did I MC.

I would suggest that if your gyn is not monitoring you with both ultrasounds & bloodwork every couple of days while on clomid you should see an RE...I wasted several months with my gyn who gave me clomid with not the proper monitoring and I regret it...clomid can also have negative effects on your uterine lining so you should be closely monitored on it to even make sure its working for you.

ita same with me..clomid is your usual starter fertility drug..it is not bad i promise, only side effect i had was hot flashes
it can def work for some but u def def need t be monitored on it
yes there is a increased chance of ectopic as well as multiples but it is small and all fertilty drugs have risks
best of luck,fm me anytime if u have questions!
