Dentist Recommendation?

Anyone have a good dentist recommendation in the Massapequa to Babylon area? My DH and I need a new dentist. DH is PETRIFIED of the dentist so refuses to go to a new one unless he hears rave reviews about it!!!

I don't know of any in that area, but I, too, am terrified of the dentist. Before my wedding, I hadn't been in a long time and the longer I waited, the more afraid I was. I contacted 1-800-DENTISTS and they matched me up with a dentists who specializes in people who have a fear of dentists (and children, but that made me even more embarassed). The dentist I saw was extremely gentle and patient with me. Unfortunately, I felt that he used my fear of dentistry to get more money out of me though (insisting on cleaning only HALF of my mouth, despite me begging him to get it done in one shot). BUT, I contacted 1-800-DENTISTS again and they were actually outraged on my behalf and are looking into the issue, with my permission. Since then, I've started using my IL's dentist and I've had no issues.

ETA: But I highly recommend contacting 1-800-DENTISTS. They were SO good and they continue to be! HTH!

I go to Lindenhurst Bay Dental. They are on the corner of South Broadway and Montauk Hwy.

I love them. They are 2 brothers and have seen them both and both are very nice and everyone was gentle. I love the dentist but DH hates it and I took him and he even said they weren't bad.

We see Dr Slovin in Islip. His offices specializes in people who are terrified of going to the dentist.

He will make DH feel at ease. Really nice practice and he is excellent.

I'm in the field and the office in that area that I recommend is Greater Long Island Dental Health. Dr Stephen Rogers is the doctor you want to see. 516-798-4223
Its a state of the art facility with very highly trained doctors and caring, expert staff.

I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist. And figures I have the worst teeth. I go to a dentist that specializes in dental care for the apprehensive. he's in Levittown and his name is Marc Gottlieb. He's amazing. I have never had pain after any procedure.
