MUSIC TOGETHER CLASSES!
I don't often post on here, I do more "lurking" than anything. But I wanted to see if any of you are doing Music Together classes? We did them for the past 10 weeks with Sonia and we LOVED the class. So much so that I just registered for the next session that starts in JAnuary. However, I just got an email from the director that if the particular class that we attend is under enrolled it is in danger of cancellation. Under normal circumstances I would just move on and take my chances, however this is the ONLY class that we can attend that Sonia teaches. I was just reaching out to see if any of you would be interested in taking your LO to the class? Here is a link to the site so you can look around and see what they are about. Very affordable too. Again, this is not my usual, but we liked the class so much I would hate for it to get cancelled.
If anyone wants to FM me with questions I would be happy to answer what I can. This was the only session that we have done so I can only speak for that.

I'm already enrolled for a Jan class, but I just wanted to add that DD is almost 3, and we've been doing Music Together since she was 1.5. We LOVE these classes. I can't tell you enough how much she enjoys these classes and how much she's learned!!!

Which location and time are you doing? I did these classes with DD and she loved them, debating enrolling DS, but my time is limited with DD's schedule.

How old do they typically start this? DD is almost 6 months. I am a SAHM and am looking for some fun activities to do with DD to get out of the house.

I'm just going to totally concur with all the wonderful things said about music together. I started DS at 5 months! And we went continuously for 7 semesters. (I actually would still be going if not for other circumstances.) We've gone to the Babylon, Massapequa, and Bellmore locations. I give MT and his tubes all the credit for his early verbal skills. Within 2 months after the tubes, he started singing songs from earlier MT classes that he took before he could talk. They're amazing!

They start as early as newborn. I was surprised and thought to myself if that would be worth it, but I saw some very young ones in the class semester that was just done that loved it and really responded to the music and the instruments.
My son has really come out of his shell since we started. He is 18 months. When we started he liked music but was terrified of the noises that came out of the actual instruments. Our teacher, Miss Sonia, plays the auto harp during class for some of the songs and then at the end of the class allows the children to have a turn playing it. My son screamed every single time he saw her take it out for the first few classes. By the end of the 10 week semester he was so excited to see it come out and very eager to take a turn at the end. I also noticed how much he picked up from the class. He now "sings" some of the songs on a regular basis.
We go to the class in Levittown on Mondays at 10am if anyone is interested. I just really would hate to see that particular class cancelled due to under enrollment.

The class runs for about 45 mins. We are busy singing, dancing and playing instruments the entire time. There is also a "free dance" time to dance with your LO. Our teacher encourages us to bring in our own music that either we or our children like to use during the free dance time.

We are taking the Monday 10am class in Levittown.
