When should you start charting?
We're not actually starting until September and I wanted to give myself some time (and start 4 weeks after starting prenatals, just as if, I was taking BC) to re-read TCOYF-- does that make sense. I read it last summer, thinking I would remember Everything, but don't -- its a lot of information!
Should have I started the day I started the prenatals? Is it OK to start anytime?
Do/Did you start when you started your prenatals?
Do/Did you start the first day of the week, just like BC?
Does it matter when you start?
*I bet you this information is in the book and I don't remember Is it?

Re: When should you start charting?
I started on cycle day 3 - which was during my period. I would try to start as close to your first day of your period as possible.

Re: When should you start charting?
I started charting the day I got AF right after I finished my last pack of BC. We also weren't going to start TTC yet, but I knew it would be a couple months before my cycles were normal again (that was the end of March, and my cycle is totally not normal yet!). I would recommend charting before you're ready to start ttc b/c it helps you learn what's going on with your body.

So, I should wait for my first period off of BC?
My last period started a little early (while on BC) I started seeing some on 6/3/06 and for 3 days it was black (probably old blood) and on 6/8/06 I had an Dr. appotment, that's when I told her we'll be starting in Sept and then she prescribed me prentals.
And then this past Sunday and Monday I had some pain - I think it was ovalating pain, it was in that area, only on the Left.

Re: When should you start charting?
The easiest way is to start on CD 1. It's good to know if you have high temps during teh first two days of AF. This is common as you have some residual proogesterone after you get AF. I have always started on CD 1

Re: When should you start charting?
I started charting on day 4. I don't really think it matters which day it is. You'll just get a more complete picture of your cycle if you start on the first day of AF. But if that's already happened for you, I don't think there's any reason to delay.
Good luck.
