If you have 3 DC...
...what vehicles do you & DH drive? Or do both of your vehicles comfortably fit 3 kids? In my case all 3 will still be in car seats. I am just trying to figure out if it is really necessary to have 2 'family sized' vehicles if that makes sense.

Re: If you have 3 DC...
I do 95% of the driving and have a nissan quest (minivan)
DH can fit all three kids safely into his pathfinder when necessary.
ETA: Our older daughter meets the requirements to sit in a regular booster seat, so we use that in DH's SUV. She still sits in a high back, 5 point harness in the van since there is more room.

We both have 3 row cars. One mini van, one SUV.

Re: If you have 3 DC...
We primarily use our mini-van (Sienna)
We do have a Chevy Avalanche that "can' fit all 3 seats if need be....

Re: If you have 3 DC...
I drive a Buick Enclave and Dh a Lincoln Navigator. We had the navigator 1st and that is DH's car so when we were pregnant with #2 - I had to upgrade to a bigger car (I had an Accura before that and could only fit 2 car seats) since I do most of the day to day with 3 kids in tow.

Re: If you have 3 DC...
How old are your kiddies?
I leased a BMW x5 a month before I found out I was preggo with the third. I was a bit worried about fitting them all in, but they all got in. I have two car seats and a booster in the middle and they all have plenty of room. My DH drives a tahoe and I def. don't want/need an oversized vehicle…

I have 3 kids, aged 11, 5, and 2.5. I drive a Toyota Corolla. It's the safest car we can afford. It's a bit like a clown car, but we all fit.

They are 3 & 1---they can fit in my DHs vehicle but not easily/comfortably as my DH is very tall and his seat it so far back. Basically we are considering trading his in for a minivan and he would take my SUV.

Re: If you have 3 DC...
I will have 3 in May and they will all be in car seats as well. We just purchased a Jeep Commander with the 3rd row option and we love it. My DH has an older ford explorer and it doesnt fit the 3 seats in the one row. so we only have 1 vehicle that fits all but it will work.

Re: If you have 3 DC...
My Cherokee was tight with two, so I wanted to make sure I never regretted getting anything too small. We bought a suburban and I LOVE it. We have tons of space. We have a booster, high back booster and infant carrier. They all wanted to be in the same row together.
DH has a 4 seater Saab. we can't take it as a family, but we don't need a second family car. We are thinking about another car for dH but not b/c we think his is too small.
