Had first sono today
I had my first sono today at 5 weeks 3 days and there is 1 little bean in there! (I think that relieved DH, as he was expecting twins to be in there). They saw a gestational sack and yolk, i'm going back next week to hopefully see a heartbeat! They did not take my beta levels today, just progesterone and the nurse said that was because once they do sonos they don't need the beta number anymore... meanwhile i have been worried sick about my beta numbers last week not doubling! Oh well i am praying that this little bean sticks!!

Great news!!!!
I think you had a vanishing twin...your numbers started out very high but didn't double 100%....standard case of a vanishing twin.....wouldn't worry now! you have a healthy little bean!!!

thanks ladies! i wonder if there is a way they can really tell there was a vanishing twin or not... i'm just happy there is at least 1 in there!! fingers crossed!

as far as i know there isnt.
i had somewhat vanishing twin, except the second sac didnt vanish completely, it was still there at my 20w sono.
my betas were high but not crazy high -
8dp5dt - 197
10dp5dt - 479
my progesterone was 190 at one point which i hear can be more indicative of twins too, but i was on 2cc of PIO so that could be why it was so high.
at the first sono at 6w1d we saw 1 sac with a heartbeat and one smaller sac with nothing. i had to wait another week to see if it caught up but it never did. i have a 7m old DD now!!

Thanks again all for your well wishes!
Shiv- I don't know what due date to use! My RE has me as 5 weeks 3 days (they used the date of my IUI as my conception date) but since I took the trigger shot the day before my IUI i'm thinking that I probably O'd the next day after my IUI, since O usually happens 36 hours later... but if I go by the RE's calculations, then I'm due August 19th!
