I HATE it.
Not a phrase but I PRAY that the Cheetos colored girls stop. I get tanning but turning yourself into a walking cheese doodle is gross.

I support the campaign wholeheartedly but I'd like to see some economic changes so we can eliminate the phrase. Granted it's a huge leap but as long as we're creating a wishlist...
This. AND "OWS"...you're not doing anything by sitting around doing squat...get moving and do something to make the change.

To clarify: I support what they're doing. They brought a lot of publicity to the extreme disparity of wealth in the world. A lot of the 1% got there at the expense of the rest of 99% when lobbyist took over Congress & laws are passed.
What I meant by including that phrase in this thread is I'd like to see a better sense of responsibility from Congress & from the 1%.
One phrase I've always hated is when people use "the worst" in scenarios that really aren't bad. For example, "I had to sit next to someone eating on the train. ugh, that is the worst." Is it? Because in the scheme of things I'm pretty sure the person whose child has cancer, who doesn't have enough to eat, whose husband just died defines "worst" differently.

I understood what you were saying. I said that in addition to the "We are the 99%" I would like to see the 99% to start doing something a little more than just sitting around and not doing anything. And IMO they are not the 99%. There are a lot of people out there that bust their @sses to get where they are today. And yes, the movement got a bit publicity but changes like that are slow acoming unless people are a little more active, i.e. contact their congress reps., going to school, etc etc.

I truly HATE that phrase and not because it's overused or anything like that. I hate what it stands for! Ugh! Seriously- "fcukk my life"? And the fact that people say it for everything. "Just stubbed my toe. FML" Seriously?!
