I was just going to post that I had ordered the 8 1/2 from Free People just tried them on tonight. The shafts too tight and so is the size. I had read that thy run small. I wound up w the 9 from L & T they're perfect. If anyone needs an 8 1/2 let me know bf I return them.

See, I feel the boot itself is true to size ... I'm an 8 and the foot fits perfectly but I can hardly get the shaft up my calf. I should have known if they fit that skinny nothing Leann that they were narrow shafted!! LOL!!
I was actually hoping the shaft was somewhat open at top and that the buckles actually functioned to adapt the size. 
I don't know what to do

So wierd! I read that most people said they ran small, but I found them to fit true if not a little on the bigger size. I even considered exchanging them for a half size smaller, but decided to keep the size I have.

So mine arrived in brown. They fit true to size and are SO comfortable...not sure I love the color or the look but DH loves them....this is my first time wearing leggings and boots so think that is part of the problem....
I am nearly 95% sure I am keeping them ....going to wear them around the house tonight and see what I think in the morning.

I just tried on the black pair and they fit!!!! I can pull the boot all the way up my calf and being leather, I know they will stretch to fit with wear!!! YAY!!!
Making it harder for me to decide what to do about the brown ones!!
