applications online
If you find a job posting online and you fill out the application online how long should you wait to call the company to find out if they recieved ur application?? Is that even ok to do, call up and ask them that???

I've never called and 99% of the jobs I apply for are online. Some sites have an automated response once your application is received and some don't. Sometimes the confirmation emails even say, because of the volume of applications they get, they can't contact everyone.

I applied to a job at the end of December, and I called a couple of days after to confirm that my submission was received. I had to leave a message, and hadn't heard back, so I called again last Friday, left another message, and just got a call back today. The guy who called said he was forwarded my message, but when I said why I was calling, he just said, "Well, if you submitted through our website, I'm sure we got it. But you can feel free to send it again." So, not very helpful to me.
