best cream for eczema on the face
Been using Californa Baby but it doesn't seem to help. He has a patch on his cheek that is getting worse. Any recs?

Aquaphor...its all i used on DD and she had very dry skin. Not sure how it is on eczema though.

Ceravae. It gives DS little pimples on his face sometimes so we usually use the California Baby on the face and the Ceravae on his body but when he has a bad outbreak on the face that the California Baby isn't doing the job the we use the Ceravae. Recommended on here and by our ped.

Our ped said to use cortisone cream 2x a day.
I use aquafor or ceraVe cream in between.

I've worked in day care and a lot of the parents would treat their children with the baby Aquaphor...

I think the California baby products stink and the lotion was awful. Did NOTHING.
I use Balmex petroleum jelly for anything like this (it's pretty much like Aquaphor).
Just a note, if you do try Cortisone, you cannot use Cortisone for long periods. I read it can damage the skin if used for an extended period.

I took my son to a derm and he gave us this great cream called Eletone. I think you need a prescription for it but nothing else worked on him

DD gets it on her thighs, bum, back and cheeks...
Ive switched her soap to Cetaphil (was using johnson and johnson) and I lotion her daily with Cetaphil lotion.
I also use Aquaphor and mix in a littel cortisone if its bothering her.
This combo seems to have been working.
At one point I was using the baby products made for eczema but none of them worked for her.

We used Aquaphor when he was very young, but it almost seemed like overkill and I got tired of it staining everything it came into contact with, including my clothes.
Since he's about 2, I use the Cetaphil creme (in the tub) on his face and body. You might have to try a bunch of different things before you find the one that works for you. I am still trying to get through lotions I bought for him that didn't work that I now use for myself.

I used Aquafor, but very little like smaller than a pea size and spread it thin on the face, and be careful it will stain (like an oil stain) if it touches clothes...:( hope it gets better asap!!
