Re: Joran was sentenced today

I read that with good behavior and work days in jail he could do 1/3 of his 28 years.

Re: Joran was sentenced today

He is slime. I know a lot of people who disagree but although I love to travel, I doubt I will ever go to Aruba b/c their government didn't cooperate with the Holloway investigation. If they had cooperated, Van der Sloot might have been where he belonged instead of out killing another person. I feel that there are enough other places to see. Yes, I realize that not everyone agrees with a boycott of Aruba and we will have to agree to disagree.

My husband always says he will never go to Aruba again bc of the way it was handled, and I tend to agree.

Also he is worth then slime, he is psycho murderer.

I have to say I agree with you. I was in Aruba years ago and would have gone back. After the Holloway case and all that went on with it, I just cannot bring myself to go back there.

I completely agree with this, there are many other beautiful places for me to travel to, they covered up way too much and it was not fair to Natalie or her poor mother

Wow, I did not expect much agreement. In the past I have told people that I am boycotting Aruba and hardly anyone agreed. Their attitude was sort of, "well what does YOU not going to Aruba have to do with what has already happened?" I do not feel that I need to spend my tourism dollars in a place where the government does not do right by Americans. If something like that happened to me I would not want such a cover up. Plus, there are so many other places to see. It's not like there is a shortage of vacation destinations with sun and beaches. It's easy enough to direct my travel elsewhere.

I agree with you as well. I have zero desire to ever go there. Honestly, these days I am more inclined to keep my travel $$$$ in the USA and visit American beaches / other places of interest. There are soooo many amazing places here that I want to see and haven't seen.
