GREAT Pediatrician Needed - South Shore Area
Can anyone recommend a pediatrician that you LOVE???
We are in Amity Harbor. I will travel up to 1/2 hour but would like one closer than that if possible.
Looking for short wait times in waiting room, well and sick waiting rooms, friendly, helpful staff, but mostly: doctor/s who actually seem to care about the health of your child, and not just paying their medical school loans back, or spewing Dr. Ferber's style of parenting rules at you.
Greatly appreciate any suggestions!! (Sorry if this is a tall order, I am very unhappy with our current Pediatrician's office, if you can't tell!)

I'm a HUGE fan of Dr. Timothy George's office in West Islip. I think they may only take newborns though?

Yes, at one point they were only accepting newborns as new patients, not sure if that has changed though, so definitely worth a call!

I use South Nassau Pediatrics. They have 2 offices one in Freeport and the other in RVC. Its easy to get appointments for the children and they are even open on weekends. One of the doctors in the practice was my pediatrician lol

We LOVE this practice! My sister did try to get my niece in a little over a year ago and wasn't able to because they were only taking newborns but maybe it's changed. Def worth a call. We are in Amityville and worth the drive.

I have been happy with Wantagh Pediatrics. Not sure if thats too far for you but the Doctors are thorough and I really feel comfortable asking them anything. They take their time and answer all our questions. The staff is friendly and we have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. They take sick patients back right away.

Me too! We switched there when my DD was 2, but we were pregnant with DD#2 -- I think that was the only reason we were taken in.

I am in Amityville too - and the drive isn't bad at all - maybe 10 minutes.

Dr. Rubin - Mineola Happy and Healthy Ped
Just voted top pediatrician in long island..I can't say enough wonderful things about her. I now drive over 30min to bring my little ones to her.
Dr. Lanzilotta - Bellmore - Ped Healthcare of LI
Dr. Jassy - Bellmore - all the peds he works with are fab

I'm in Amityville and we go to Pediatric Health Assocaites in Plainview. It's about 20+ drive.
It's a group practice, but we love 6 out of the 7 dr.s there.

My sister goes to Grello Pediatrics in West Islip on Montauk Hwy. I referred her to them after Dr. George wouldn't take her due to all the recommendations on here. She really, really likes the practice. If you do a search for Grello on here you will see reviews from many other ladies.
