Hi..Did anyone have Twin Transfusion Syndrome or and experience with it?

Hi..I'm 20 weeks pregnant with Identical twins. 2 days ago they checked my fluid level and they believe I am borderline/Stage 1 for TTS. Baby A has less fluid than B. I keep reading up on it and it has me so worried about this\.

The Dr. said that in lots of cases it stays at level one and does not neccessrily progressively get worse. I am still freaking out a bit.

Anyone have this or can share any infor, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

Hi. I don't know about TTS as I had fraternal twins. The only thing I will tell you is stay away from the Internet. Do not google! I have learned this the hard wayChat Icon.

All you can do is trust your dr. I am sure they will be monitoring you closely which is a good thing. I'm sorry I don't have any more info. but just wanted to wish you good luck. I know it's so hard not to worry.Chat Icon Chat Icon

At about 12 weeks they claimed my twins were showing signs of TTTS. I went back 2 weeks later for a follow up sono and all was well again. I don't know a whole lot about it since I was cleared.

But, from what I can remember they explained it to me as the placenta "feeding" one baby better through the umbilical cord better. They said a simple laser procedure could be done on the smaller baby's umbilical cord opening up the blood vessels for a better flow.

They never mentioned anything to me about fluid around the baby.
