Hyper stimulated

Ok...so had my retrieval and now they are watching me for hyperstimulation. Have a little fluid around my ovaries and an enlarged ovary on the left. They may do a day 5 transferr but if the fluid doesn't go down then they won't be able to transfer. Has this ever happened to anyone. They have me on a few meds and drinking v8 (yuk!) and Gatorade so I'm just praying that will help. I'm going to take it easy the rest of the weekend. Any other advice? I'll be really upset if they can't transfer.

I was at risk also for that. They gave me meds and I just took it easy. Good luck Feel good!

Did they offer you Dostinex? That prevented me from hyper stimulating, I was at a huge risk because they retrieved 41 eggs.

Wow! That's more than me but I was pretty close. Yes, I am on dostinex so I'm just praying that will help

I did 2 fresh cycles. First time I had 25 eggs retrieved and hyperstimulated. I was on Dostinex, drank V8 and gatorade, but had to limit other fluids. I pretty much knew the day of my retrival that my transfer was going to be cancelled b/c my E2 level was very high and I had a lot of fluid. 2nd cycle docs were much more cautious and although they thought i was going to hyperstimulate i was able to go ahead with a 3 day transfer. Feel better and make sure to rest up!
