I love all the pink teddies and monkeys and doggies holding hearts for the kids. However, sometimes after v-day a few months later it still looks so v-day!! a little bit of Valentines day plush is fun but if you feel like you already have a lot of it. Try just buying a traditional looking plush and giving it a red or pink ribbon. After V-Day you can always take the ribbon off. This is a great idea for St. Pattys Day also. sometimes leprachauns come. In my house they didn't but i know they do arrive some places.
