This is why in my Pets on Death Row thread, I always mention that you should take the ACC's behavior ratings with a grain of salt. Most of these cats are not aggressive (which many times is the justification for putting them down) they are just scared.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon OMG. So sad b/c it's true. Most of the times, these animals are simply afraid but it's hard to know the truth, when the reality is we have NO idea what they have been through in their lives, in their former "homes". Owners can surrender them and say they bite, they are dangerous, etc, when the reality is the owner is likely the one who may be the wrong fit for the animal and not helping the animal in being a happy healthy animal. Or they just simply act aggressive due to fear and pain and lonliness.

This poor dog, so lucky to get a chance. Doesn't happen often enough.

BINGO. Or owners say they are dangerous, bite, aggressive, yet the owner could be the one precipitating or causing the behavior in the animal. Or the owners could simply lie and then the animal gets a reputation or a label that is simply untrue. Add in fear and the animal may act exactly as labeled. Chat Icon And most of them don't get that second chance.

Re: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH THIS WHOLE THING

I just know how scary it would be if I had a agressive dog with children.. I dont think I would go out of my way to adopt an agressive dog being I have a child.. If I had the dog and it was a part of my life and I made a commitment I would do everything in my power to honor my commitment..Evaluation, trainer, excercise, attention.. etc... Whats so hard about that? THEN if all efforts fail.............

Not putting anyone down here not looking for drama.. But this dog was evalutated and look at the outcome..

If my vet were to tell me my dog is a hazzard and had some kind of issues menally that will never be able to work with I would have to put him down.. I trust my vet so I would take his opinion..

I know this is a sore subject.. But look at this scared baby.. All matted and probably in pain.. I cant stop watching this......
