Chicken Pox?? Or no, because is it in the shots that they get?? TIA

I would think that the frequency of chicken pox is going to significantly decrease in the coming years as more and more children get the chicken pox vaccine. Once a certain number of people in the community are vaccinated, herd immunity is achieved and your chances of getting a particular disease are slim. Chicken pox will probably be like mumps in the future.

It really depends on how the anti-vaccination craze pans out. Some people will only give their kids the minimum. Hopefully people just won't get it anymore. I know first hard how painful shingles can be

all vaccines are NOT 100 % guaranteed. I know many people who have given their child the chicken pox vaccine and they still got it.

I think chicken pox isn't nearly as common as it was when we were kids. I remember when I was teaching a few years ago, I asked the kids if anyone had ever had chicken pox and almost all said no. When we were kids, I feel like everyone had it at some point.
