I love Dr. Bell-she's in Manhasset part of the Women for Women office. She's very sweet; answers any and ALL questions i have/had.
Look forward to having her deliver my future baby!

Dr. King at the Obstetrical and Gynecological Svs of Rockville Centre. She's awesome and the staff there is great too. I was considering switching OB's when I originally got pregnant because I wanted someone closer to home and a closer hospital. But now, after my d&c, I won't go to anyone else. She was amazing before, during and after it with me.

I go to LIWHC in Bellmore. They're affiliated with LIJ and although I like my OB, their office is usually really busy with a long wait.
I do love that they do all the sonos and bloodwork in-house though. Its very convenient. I've seen Dr. BAshian and Dr. Frankel there. Both really sweet ladies!

Yes she is excellent she is my OBGYN and I had dr leong as my gyno before i got preggo with my first son. All same practice. Altman is the OB that alot of doctors go to I like her alot.

I will see if these drs are affiliated with south nassau. Not too thrilled with LIJ bc of a bad experience with DS birth and also I want a closer hospital being that my last labor was 5 hours total.

If you are looking for a doctor affiliated with South Nassau you can go to their web site SouthNassau.org and check out their physician directory if you are set on delivering at South Nassau. Drs Altman and Leong are LIJ doctors only. A lot of ladies on the infertility site goes to Glasser-Caine on Merrick Rd in RVC. I am close to that hospital as well but they have level 2 NICU and since my last 2 deliveries was at 35 and 36 weeks(preterm) I would rather be at a LIJ or North Shore and since I am a nurse at Winthrop I am not trying to go there.

Ok, I just checked the website. So there are a lot of Dr.s in that practice!! Do they bounce patients around or will I get Dr. Altmann if I request her? I'm worried ab large practices like these. I did not know ab south nassau being a level 2 NICU.. is that a bad thing? I had DS in LIJ and they did care for him wonderfully (I had issues with the residents) but if they are safer bc of Cohen's childrens hospital, then I may stay there for my next. I had severe pre eclapmsia with DS and I am in my 30's so I really want my hospital choice to be the best for my situation.
~~ My labor was extremely fast- 5 hours total and the nurses and residents ignored my mom and my H that I was pushing uncontrollably.(they had me in one of those 6 person rooms for woman in light labor). When a resident finally came over *annoyed* she saw the baby crowning and literally rushed me in a wheelchair to a delivery room with me screaming my head off bc they kept putting off my epidural bc I was a "new mom and it would take a while".. Ok the thing I liked ab the whole situation was that they immediately called pediatric ICU in then schneiders childrens hospital and had them ready and waiting bc the baby was apparently coming out too fast and they were worried he would have trouble breathing. Well, in 2 pushes DS was out happy and healthy! It was comforting knowing the childrens hospital was so close *in case*.. hopefully I can find a good OB to facilitate things in a better way next time!!

Dr.Mark Brandon is in RVC, right behind Mercy hospital and he is affiliated with south nassau. He is great and his office staff are wonderful...and there is barley a wait there. I am looking for a new doctor be be closer to where I moved to...but I feel so bad leaving him because he is a great doctor.
