working out?
I was wondering if anyone worked out during their twin pregnancy. I forgot to ask my dr. about this.
With my first pergnancy, I worked out until 7 months. With twins though I heard you shouldn't put pressure on the cervix. So I was thinking no cardio but maybe some weight lifting, or is that not good to do?

i was allowed to run till about 22 weeks ans walked about 2 miles up until i deliverred at 36 weeks (my boys came home withme from the hospital)
also i skiied at 16 weeks for a week -i don't do weights so i don't know about that
talk with your doc and anything can change if you have cervix issues

Re: working out?
i have been completely immobile
they say its ok to walk or do light cardio..like the elliptical... but i nixed all working out.
i'm too afraid to risk it.
but you do what you are comfortalbe with..
i will say that although i am not working out, i have been shopping like a mad woman...out and about to different stores all the time and running around- so i definitely have some level of activity..

Re: working out?
I only walked and did prenatal yoga. i got huge fast and had no desire to do anything more than that for exercise... but I was mom to a very active <2 year old. That was enough for me!

I was hoping you'd respond! I commute, so I already do alot of walking. I was wondering if squats, butt lifts, etc. were ok. I'll have to look for a prenatal yoga dvd. I haven't done anything because I'm nervous with all the pressure/pain I already feel. But I'm wondering if it will make me feel better.

Re: working out?
I was allowed to do anything I had already been doing (cardio, light weight training).
But I decided to stop all together at around 12 weeks. It was just too much going to the gym, maintaining the house, and keeping up with my 2 year old.

Re: working out?
i did a lot of walking in the beginnging but had to have cervix sewed at 5 months b/c of pressure so i wouldnt recommend it, not sure if it was related but the less pressure the better.
