Need training help!!
Okay so my dog is 5 she is potty trained but occasionally has accidents in the house. Usually about once every two weeks..I think sometimes it is our fault. Usually when we are sleeping, I don't know if she is trying to get our attention or just decides to go on the floor. I have tried taking her water away at an earlier time but she just sits and begs for water sometimes. I dont know if there is anything special I can do?? Someone help because my fiance is gonna move out if I don't fix this

Re: Need training help!!
Well if it seems to happen when you are sleeping, odds are your dog needs to go out later or an additional time in the evening. I think it's pretty much as simple as that (based on the fact that it's only happening in the evening). This has happened to us too, and the thing is sometimes we just take our dogs out too early for their last pee of the night.

Re: Need training help!!
It's not only in the evening it will happen randomly in the day sometimes. Once in a while she will just squat right in front of my face without any indication that she needs to go out?? But as far as night time goes. I usually take her out at about 10:30 for a walk before I go to bed and as soon as I wake up at 6:30 or 7. I know they say dogs are not spiteful but I find on the days that I do not spend as much time with her it happens?

Oh ok. I thought you said just nighttime. How long is this going on? Maybe your dog has a weak bladder. My female does have this, always did. Some time she just can't hold it.

Re: Need training help!!
I guess she does have a weak bladder but when we are not home we leave her in the kitchen and block it off all day and she has never once gone to the bathroom in there. I seriously think when she is mad at me she does it..do you think a dog would do that?

Supposedly they dont do that, out of spite. I dont know though. Could it be excitement when you are there? My female cant hold it when excited. You know, since you say she is female, that could be it. Alot of female dogs have issues with weakness in times of excitement, full bladder, etc.

If we have guests over sometimes she gets soo excited runs in circles and then just goes to the bathroom right there in front of anyone This is my first female dog ever so I will just have to tell my fiance it's a girl thing haha

Re: Need training help!!
OK 2 things from experience with two smart cookie female dogs:
My dad's dog DEFINITELY goes out of spite sometimes. I don't care what anyone says - after my parents split and it was just my dad and the dog, whenever he got a new girlfriend or was out for long hours (she had a dog walker and was still taken out plenty) she would go to the bathroom (#1 and #2) right in front of his bedroom door (which was closed). I guarantee this was spite.
ILs female dog does the pee out of excitement. When anyone comes in and makes a big deal of saying hello (and sometimes when they don't) she spins and pees. She just has a weak bladder and has always done this. Other than that she doesn't have accidents, it's only when she gets overly excited.
Just two examples - not advice really but either of these could be it. I would have her taken to the vet to see if they can check her bladder, you want to rule out infection or illness just in case.
