Plum Organics pouches now with less ozs?

DS is 17 months but I still stock up on a pouch sale because I like them for when we are out or for when he might not have gotten a lot of veggies on a particular day I'll just give him a pouch to help make up for it.

Well, BRU is having a good Plum sale and we go in and I notice they have new packaging so I went to pick it up to add it to my cart and noticed that the pouch just felt different. I checked the ozs and there was less in the new packages than the old ones but they were the same price so I just grabbed 9 of the old ones (they were 9 for $9)

Honestly, I'm not sure...but if they ARE smaller I am NOT going to be happy! Really, is .2 oz. going to hurt their company??? Chat Icon

I noticed that too! I don't think that they are making the fruit only pouches smaller. However at BRU they have a new line which is a veggie, fruit, and grain. Those are the new packaging pouches and they do have less oz but I think they are compensating for the fact that it includes a grain. So they are more filling and are a whole serving. I stocked up on both!

You are right. I wrote the company on their Facebook wall and this was their response:

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your comment! To answer your question, our new Ancient Grain Second Blends contain grains such as quinoa, millet, amaranth, and barley, and they offer a heartier, more filling meal relative to our other Stage 2 Second Blends. We want to offer our consumers premium, organic ingredients such as ancient grains at a price point consistent with other Stage 2 items. In order to do this, we moved to a smaller fill. Feel free to email us directly at [email protected] should you have any other questions.
