Teacher Resume Question
So I updated my resume with my leave replacement and it is now on 2 pages.
As a teacher, is it acceptable to have 2 pages?
Should I get rid of my student teaching position? I am dually certified and am split down the middle with experience so I don't know if student teaching is necessary or not.
Do you just list your jobs and what you taught or do you give some bullet points?
Also, I teach one college class every 9 weeks, should I include that?

Re: Teacher Resume Question
I'm curious about student teaching too, since I have three years experience past student teaching.
I think it's fine to have two pages. I do. Otherwise between my certifications and experience my font would be at 8 pt.
I was an early childhood/mommy and me type teacher for five years. I put that underneath all of my teacher experience as "Related Experience." That's where I would put your college teaching experience.
I give two or three bullet points.

Re: Teacher Resume Question
I haven't put my student teaching on for a long time, but that was 15 years ago for me.
If you are just over, I would try to condense a bit to fit on one, but don't stress about it - I think 2 is OK. If you think about it, a lot of the formatting doesn't transcribe well electronically and a 1 page resume can go to 2 anyway.

Re: Teacher Resume Question
Yeah, with 10 years in I would list student teacher- but take away any of the descriptors of what I did then. Just list the location- type of placement- year.

At the very least I agree with this. You never know if where you student taught might help you land a position through connections or in reference to an excellent school.

Re: Teacher Resume Question
The provided information is too good but also add some more information like some student teaching resume format, templates, samples with examples here.

Re: Teacher Resume Question
You do realize you responded to something that is almost 2 years old right?
