BTDT induction girls
We're you told to fast prior to going in for your induction? Whether plan was for cervadil, pitocin, or breaking water?

Re: BTDT induction girls
I went in at 7am for Pitocin and they were breaking water.
I was told not to eat after midnight the night before.

Re: BTDT induction girls
I never made it to my induction date. I was scheduled for a monday but went into natural labor on the prior friday. But like the pp said I was told no food or drink after midnight the night before.

Re: BTDT induction girls
I was told to be at the hospital at 7:30 pm - and was told to eat dinner beforehand.
They took me late because they had a rush of deliveries, so I ended up getting my cervadil around 1:30am.

Re: BTDT induction girls
My induction was 13 days past my date. I was supposed to go in to Cervadil the night before, but that morning I went into the Drs and he said that I was starting to open up, so no cervadil for me. I went in the next am at 7 am, got my pitocin at 8, contractions were slow, broke my water at 12ish, and DD arrived @ 5pm. I was told no eating after midnight. HTH

Re: BTDT induction girls
I had to be at the hospital at 6am and was told to be sure that I ate (something bland) before coming. Also, they were running late because there were no L&D rooms available for me - so they sent me to the cafeteria to eat some more! I had the 4-hour thing, I get them confused - cytotec or cervadil. They made the decision on which one to use after they examined me to see how dialated/soft I was. Did not start pitocin until I was significantly dialated.

Re: BTDT induction girls
I was a cervadil induction. Was told to be at the hosp at 7:00am and to eat A BIG BREAKFAST beforehand, cause it might be a while. It was 40 hours!

Re: BTDT induction girls
my water broke on its own, but because i had the group b strep i had to immediantly go in, they let me labor on my own and if no progress was made in 3 hours they gave me pitocin. and holy heck those contractions came on so quickly.

Re: BTDT induction girls
I went in at 7am for pitocin when I was a week late, I was 2cm dilated. My water broke on it's own sometime in the middle of the day. DD was born at 5:45pm.
I was not told to fast. I was actually told to have a small breakfast before going to the hospital.
