Where does the car seat & infant seat go?

Hi, I'm getting things ready for the arrival of my in 3 weeks and I just thought about where my son's car seat goes now. He's 16 months & is in the middle of the back seat (Britax Marathon70). So now that he will be moved to one side, does the new infant seat go in the middle? Or does she go on the other side by the door? I don't think she's supposed to be right up against/next to him, right? But then, I thought the safest place for the infant seat is the middle. So I'm stuck. She's going to use the Chicco KeyFit30. Where doe she go? thanks!

i put one on each side. Mostly bc my ds1 would probably kill ds 2 while i was driving. He is a very rough little boy and i knew while driving, i wouldnt be able handle what was going on in the backseat.

Thank you!! I was thinking that DS would be poking at the baby too. They'll be going on opposite sides.
