Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
I was in tears yesterday watching this... so sad! I love when she said to “call them out on it” because it will be harder for them to sneak around. I wish I heard that advise years ago.

Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
I never knew about Wendy Williams' past. Kudos to her for using her past as a platform to send a message out there. We've all made stupid choices in life...some of us just got lucky enough to walk away from them. not everyone is so lucky

Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
I never knew that about Wendy Williams. I lost it when Wendy was sobbing/talking. It's amazing how one person can touch your life & affect it like Whitney did for Wendy. It's like Wendy lost her hero.

Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
Wendy Williams has discussed Whitney Houston in the past. She was very tough on her, telling her to stop blaming Bobby Brown for her drug problems & that she would only get better if she accepted her role in her own problems. She was not wrong but she was harsh.
Wendy Williams said that she went up to Jerome Avenue in the Bronx to buy crack when she was an addict. That is the street my mom grew up on and it was a very nice area when she was growing up. It's a long street through the Bronx but with the way my mom's area changed in the 1980s and 1990s it could have been the same section of Jerome Ave. It's just weird for me to hear that.

Jerome Ave today is not a nice place. I went to school on The Grand Concourse off of Jerome in the 90's, and it was turning then, so I could def see Wendy buying drugs over there then. There is a really good pizza place where you catch the 4 at the Woodlawn stop though ha!
But I think of the same thing, all the places I used to be in the Bronx when I was younger, changed soooo much, and I am only 30.

i feel so bad for Wendy, she really lost her hero. She may have been harsh but she is right, if you don't accept your role in your own actions you will never get better.

Yeah Jerome over there isn't good but it goes all the way down near Yankee Stadium, which is also not a good area-and hasn't been in a long time, so it could have been over there too.

Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
I used to listen to wendy williams' radio show (many years ago) and I remember when she and whitney used to fight on the radio. Whitney Houston used to call up and tell her to f*ck off and shut the F*ck up - they would get into crazy fights. wendy williams would be straight and always would talk about how she thought whitney was doing heavy drugs and a mess. In fact, they always used to play the telephone call between them as an intro to the show. After I heard that houston died, I immediately thought about wendy williams b/c of the touchy relationship they had.

Yep - it was a crazy one. But wendy williams was the only one that would talk about it. She wouldn't dance around it and Whitney would get pissed.

I just listened to the radio interview. Man Whitney was all over the place. Praising Wendy one minute & blasting her the next.

Re: Wendy Williams thoughts on Whitney Houston's passing
This was sad to me. I am glad that Wendy can admit her own past mistakes too. But what a mess that original interview was!
