Prayers for my Chinchilla
Gigi is my sweet 8 year old Chinchilla. She is so amazing and has brought joy to our family. I took her to the vet yesterday because of her breathing and weight loss and basically the roots of her teeth have grown into her skull and nasal cavities. She is on medication now but there is really nothing we can do. We cut her teeth back a few months ago but apparently teeth are a big problem with Chinchilla's. So now she is being spoiled even more. I pray for as long as possible but I also don't want her to suffer. Image Attachment(s):

Aww, Gigi is beautiful. My are with you and her. I am sure she is loving all the attention she is getting too, she is very lucky!

She's doing great on the medication. she's been on the prednisone for a week as well as an antibiotic. My DD has been feeding her yogurt and a ground chinchilla mix and she ate some cornbread and a little pretzel the other day. she's loves to run around my DD's room. we have to go back to the Vet next week and see what are options are. she doesn't appear to be in pain her breathing sounds better, but I don't know who long we can keep her on the prednisone because I assume thats what helping.
