Help after delivery/Baby nurses

Hi everyone - I am new here. I am going to be a first time mom next month in March.

I KNOW baby nurses are a very hot and debated topic. I am not looking for opinions, I have read them all on previous boards!

My situation is this: my husband doesn't want any help or "strangers" living with us...and I feel like he isn't prepared for how much work this little guy will be and how we will need rest and help.

We compromised on POSSIBLY hiring someone for 3 days - surrounding the Bris. The day before, the day of and the day after.

Right now we are trying to find places to hire someone... and RN, a doula, a baby nurse, etc.

Does anyone here have any recommendations of agencies/private nurses/doulas, etc to contact and talk to? If yes, please respond or send me a personal message!

Not sure where you are located, but DH's cousin is a doula in Brooklyn. Feel free to FM me if you'd like her info!

I don't know where you live but if you google baby nurse there are plenty of organizations to call. However, although they call themselves Nurses, they are not truly nurses, they are not RN's. If you are looking to have an RN in home for 3 days I am sure you will be paying big bucks per hour for that, and you will probably have to search and hire one privately. I am an RN and don't know of any RN's who take care of a healthy newborn acting as a baby nurse. Baby nurses are specially certified people who are only skilled in care of a newborn. That's it. A Doula is another alternative, again, google Doula and an organization should come up with names people who are certified to be doula's. There are doula's that are RN's but I believe you don't have to be an RN to be a doula. It really depends on the level of help you want and require.
