Baby Shower
Yesterday I had a surprise baby shower at work!! I was so emotional and surprised - everyone was so generous.
I want to write thank you cards but then I realized that about 25 people got together and gave me a large sum of money combined in a card. My questions is:
1 - Do I write an individual thank you card for their monetary gift to each 25 or can I write a mass email thanking those people or send an e-card thank you?
2 - what do I write in the thank you note? Thank you for your generous gift?
TIA for your help!!

Re: Baby Shower
When my office did this for my first, I wrote individual thank yous and did put "thank you for your generous gift". Quite a few people actually commented on how nice it was to get a personal thank you for a group gift. Congrats on the work shower!

Re: Baby Shower
Awwww thats soooo sweet!
In my opinion you can do 1 of 2 things... Either give individual thank you cards or 1 card to everyone. If it was me I would personally give each person a thank you card... I would send an e card or an email. They put a lot of thought into surprising you and I think an e card or email is too impersonal...

Aww that's great! At my job people usually send a mass email thanking everyone and sometimes they bring in little treats as a thank you, like donuts or something.

Re: Baby Shower
I would write an individual card to each person who contributed. I know it's a lot more work, but it was sweet of them to do that for you. I would include in my note something about how their generous gift will go to great use to get baby something special he or she needs.

That's what DH and I did when they threw us a shower before we got married. i sent an email and brought in a bunch of desserts. However, we had around 130 people in our company at that time
With 25 people I would try to do individual since you guys are probably much closer. I know I would be pleasantly surprised!

Re: Baby Shower
Thanks girls!
I will write individual thank you cards to everyone. I was truly touched that they did this for me and it would be nice to thank everyone in a special way.
