So I covered the arms of my couch in aluminum foil lol

You know you love your pets when you cover the arms of your couch in aluminum foil lol. My one cat, an almost 3 yr old tortie who is CRAAAZY won't stop scratching the arms of my couch and it's driving me insane. The couch isn't even a year old and the arms are looking so sad. I've tried everything.... making sure her nails are always trimmed, spray bottle, yelling, getting her a scratch post and putting it in front of the arms, EVERYTHING and she still scratches like crazy. The arms were getting to the point of no return so I had to do something so we took aluminum foil and taped it to the arms and what do you know, she won't touch them now. So, now my couch is saved but it also looks really stupid and now my 18 month old is trying to rip the foil off and eat it so I am constantly telling him no and walking over to him to stop but he runs away and giggles thinking it's a game. I don't know what's worse LOL. I guess it's better than getting rid of the cats or declawing them.
