Hey guys... which pools are the best pools to visit in the summer? We are in Port Jeff but are willing to drive further east or west. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I love Byron Lake. It's clean, it's got a big slide and lots of room. It can get super crowded during the weekends, but I never have a problem during the week. Also, they are attached to a park so you can do a nice walk or take the kids on the playground. And you can pack lunch or buy something at the concession stand.

I second Byron, they have a very nice pool. It's in Oakdale so it's a bit of a drive for you but I think it might be worth it.

Do you have to be a member of the town of Islip to visit Bryon Lake?

No, you don't. But you do get a discount if you have an Islip Recreation Card.

I'm pretty certain you can...it's just a bit pricey. I know Venetian Shores park, you can use. That's the spray park. If you're a non-resident, it's $25 per day. It's not actually even that much when you consider the spray park in Bay Shore is $5.00 per person WITH the Town of Islip Recreation Card.
