waking the other baby

Did you ever stop waking the other baby in the middle of the night? So far, Alice is, 99% of the time, the one who wakes us up at night to be fed. We have always woken up Lily as well and fed them both. Alice has just started sleeping through the night. We think Lily would have been able to do this months ago. Tonight, well now, is the first time we are trying not waking Lily as well. I am hoping this does not come back to bite us in the ass and that I will be feeding another baby in an hour.

TIA

My guys are just about 4 months now. I also have one twin that wakes up occasionally to eat. I do NOT wake both. I only feed the one & then when they are both up in am, I just start feeding them together again. It is sometimes too soon for the one, but they catch up.

I would suggest if one is sleeping thru the night, let her be.

Well the other had me up an hour and a half later. Lesson learned wake the other baby! Thank goodness I didn't have to work today.

I was religious about waking both babies to feed if one woke. I only started letting one sleep when I was SURE he was going to give me 5-6 hrs straight.

I agree. One of my boys consistently wakes in the middle of the night to be fed. I only feed him. Occasionally the other has woken in the middle of the night but for the most part he sleeps through the night.

Re: waking the other baby

Once I realized they were on a schedule (albeit different from each other) I stopped waking the opposite one.

J STTN immediately and K would wake between 3 and 4 to nurse. By 5 months old she dropped that session and bother were STTN.
