Has anyone been to the Netherlands?

I'm visiting my friend in Holland (Mostric-sp?) in September. Any suggestions on things to do while she's working?

Yes! We were in Amsterdam in January for four days before we continued to South Africa. We really liked it.

Anne Frank Museum is a must. I re-read her diary in preparation for the trip. It definitely made the visit more meaningful.

We also did something called an Indonesian Rice Table which is essentially a dozen plates of thai food. That was fun.

We also rode around in this cart as a guy pulled it on a bike. We did this late at night and it was just really fun and we were laughing the whole time.

We visited the red light district which is definitely worth checking out.

I will say that the food overall is below average in Amsterdam.

We had a 6 hour layer on the return from East Africa. We did Anne Frank's Huis. It was truly touching. We were able to roam around and take pictures of the architeture but not much else. It's a beautiful city.

I spent 2 or 3 days in Amsterdam in college. My friends and I went to the Anne Frank house and the Van Gogh exhibit. We also went to the Heineken brewery-it was fun even though I don't like beer. We also took a day trip to Edam and Volendam, which was nice.

I went to Amsterdam when I was a student, but to be honest, I don't remember one single thing about it. Except for the first coffee shop.

I was young.

If you have a few days, see if you can go to Keukenhoff. It's where the tulips are... it is so beautiful!
