Removing Rust Stains

My shaving gel canister left some rust stains on the tub - I think its fiberglass? Is there anything that gets this out? My regular cleaners didn't do the trick. Chat Icon

Bar Keepers Friend is amazing. I had a rust ring in the tub and it removed it when nothing else would.

No brillo pad - that would scratch the fiberglass and damage it.

I'd
(1) try a paste of baking soda and warm water, let it sit then scrub with a sponge. You can dampen the sponge with white vinegar - it will make the baking soda foam - but it might also help lift the stain.

or

(2) soak a paper towel in hydrogen peroxide and let that sit on the stain for a while. repeat if necessary to lift the stain.

I'm a natural products freak and will try those before resorting to harsh chemicals or bleach.

Soft scrub usually works good

I have all of these things at home so I'll try this first! Then I'll look for Bar Keeper's Friend....sounds like a good multipurpose solution! Thanks ladies.
