Pre Term Delivery
I posted awhile back that I had high fluid levels. I went for another sono this week at 30 weeks and they are still high.
I do not have GD and baby is measuring normal at 3lbs 5 ounces.
They will just continue to monitor with sonos.
My stomach is measuring 4 weeks ahead so I am at risk for pre term labor. I am praying this does not happen.
Has anyone delivered prematurely? If so what week and how did your baby develop?

Re: Pre Term Delivery
I delivered my 1st prematurely. To this day we don't know why she was premature. I delivered her at just under 33 weeks. She was 4 1/2 lbs and besides a short stay in the NICU, she really did great and had no complications thank goodness. She is now a very happy, healthy and active 2 year old.
Good luck to you

Re: Pre Term Delivery
My first was pre term. He was born just before 32 weeks. He was only 3lbs 6oz and stayed in the NICU for a month. He was very under the weight and height curve until around 6 months old when he caught up. He's about to turn 2 and he is the average 2 year old size and you cannot tell at all that he was a preemie.
Thankfully he is not developmentally delayed. He did certain things a little late (like sitting up and rolling) but well within the normal range.
Lots of luck to you! I hope you have a full term healthy baby :)

I actually have a consult with a high risk dr in a little over a week.
Just hoping and praying I can go full term.

Re: Pre Term Delivery
My twins were pre term...I had a bad pregnancy...short cervix, pre term contractions ended in e c section...They were born at 32 weeks only had to be in NICU for 3 weeks. Right now they are almost 2 1/2 and the tallest kids in their class!
If your doctor thinks this is possible you should probably get the steroids for lung development.

Re: Pre Term Delivery
My son was born at 29 weeks. Stayed in NICU for 7 weeks. As of right now there are no known problems and he has hit the curve for his non adjusted age size wise. (he's at the bottom of the curve but he still hit the curve). He is 5.5 months old and his adjusted age is 3 months.
Just wanted to add they do not know what caused my preterm delivery.
