Sudden Early AM Wake-Ups

My DS is 7 months and I have been very lucky that he has been a good sleeper since 4 months. He will usually get up between 6:30 and 7:30. I put him down at 7:30 pm. However, the past 2 weeks he has been getting up at 5 am. For the first week I would bring him into my bed and he would fall back asleep for another hour or so but this past week he is just up and ready to go. The thing is that I know he is tired. This morning he got up at 5 and finally fell back asleep at 6:15 for like 20 mins. Have any of you experienced this and had you DC to go back to their old routine? I have tried putting him down earlier but that didn't make a difference. I know I should be grateful he is STTN but I would just like my old routine back. Any advice??

Re: Sudden Early AM Wake-Ups

I have twins and last week they would wake up between 4 and 5 and be completely awake and playing in their crib. I left them in since they were not crying and they would both fall back to sleep till 6:30-7:00 the time they normally wake up. They go to bed at 7 pm. If he is not crying see if he goes back to sleep on his own. I find once they come out of the crib they are not going to fall back asleep. The first time it happened I took the one who woke first because I didnt want her to wake her sister but now i leave them and they go back to sleep. My girls are 8 months tomorrow. This only happened for about a week and now they are back to sleeping straight through. So hopefully it will end so for you as well.
