LEGO vent..
Why oh whyy do I buy DS these huge (amazing) lego sets, knowing I am the one who is going to be spending hours putting them together!! He is obsessed with Harry Potter lego sets and I have put together pretty much every set.. he helps but it is so intriquite that I must do most of it..(he's 5) Tonight, I had the joy of putting together the Castle for the last 4 hours.. lol! It's adorable and DS will love it but I just don't know why I do this to myself.. then I see that new pampers commercial with the baby saying thank you to his mom and I teared up.. guess it was all worth it when he sees it in the am! lol vent done! (sorry!)

you and he will look back and cherish the time you spent together on the project. It will be a common bond you can share

Re: LEGO vent..
Brings back memories of my DH sitting there putting together a Spongebob lego - it was brutal. The trick is to not get one that is above their age level. When we got that one, DS was 5 and I think the age was 7-12. Soon enough your son will be a master though. My older son is amazing with them (hes 9 now) I love Lego, at least it's not garbage like most of the toys out there.

I don't get it either. I would pay someone to put these things together-lol.
To me all I see is my dh and ds getting frustrated with these things even though they say they love to do them.
