Does your insurance not cover OT? I looked into NYT in Pt. Jeff and they are $50 but they dont take insurance. I would have to submit claim forms to my insurance company and then they would reimburse me 50% (which is close to what my copay would be anyway). I have decided to look for in-network providers first though.

His insurance is in network ( hmo) only.
He gets 20 o/t sessions per cal. year and we are using those towards feeding therapy with an o/t.

Re: Sensory Gyms-Paying Out of pocket
what about a class like at my gym for older kids, or gymastics. my ds2 goes once a week for an hour and has a free play too for $88 a month with my gym. it obviously isn't 1:1 therapy and not for fine motor skills but it is definitely sensory geared. he uses the same types of equiptment as he does with his pt and still gets a really good work out, works on age appropriate gross motor tasks and socialization. at our my gym they also offer the gym for therapy 1:1 but i'm not sure the price.

Re: Sensory Gyms-Paying Out of pocket
I think Island therapies Saturday program is going on right now. Maybe they don't have any spots until September? We got there for OT and there is a sign up about Sat. morning sensory gym sessions.

Re: Sensory Gyms-Paying Out of pocket
Island runs a summer program that's pretty inexpensive.
