Has anyone heard of this book? The Times featured it today as this big sensation that's "gone viral" but none of my girlfriends have mentioned it.

I figure if the Times is making an erotica novel front page news, there must be something it it.

ETA: Sorry for the repeat post, but somebody *reported* me for posting on FHF.

Just finished it last night................on to book #2, "50 Shades Darker".

It was a really good book, I couldn't put it down. I liked the characters and I was invested in what was happening but it you're prude'ish it might not be the book for you. It's has A LOT of sex, kinky sex.

Re: 50 Shades of Gray

I'm almost done with book 2. I'm not really a fan, but I HAVE to finish the series to see what happens between them. Every other page is a sex scene, not my style. But I've heard it described as "mom porn" Chat Icon

IMO, it's not a good book, not well written at all.

Since they have sex every 3 pages, I equate it to porn. Very little plot, lots of sex, bad dialog.

It's usually not my kind of book either but for some reason, I can't put it down. I am intrigued by their weird relationship. Chat Icon Chat Icon

No one is saying its going to be the next great American novel Chat Icon for some reason its reaching mainstream audiences not just normal romance/erotica readers.

Re: 50 Shades of Gray

A co-worker told me about it so I read the entire series. It's not well written and it's basically sex every other page. However, the story itself isn't terrible and I love romances and happy endings in general. I agree, if you're prudish, do NOT read this series!
