Becoming a certified Zumba Instructor
I am seriously considering thinking of doing this! I LOVE Zumba and it looks like a great way to work out and maybe make a few extra bucks.
Has anyone else done this? Is it worth it?
Thanks!

I am a certified spin instructor for the same reasons! It was a great way to et my workouts in and make some money. The pay isn't great but I got a gym membership out of the deal too!

Awesome! Good for you! I keep seeing her but they fill up so fast! There is one coming up but it's in Spanish- is there a lot of talking? I was thinking I could probably get by. Good luck to you!

How much does it cost to get certified? And how much can you make per class? Anyone can FM me if you want instead of writing it here.

Re: Becoming a certified Zumba Instructor
You can get info on the zumba site
the amount you make per class varies by gym/studio. most pay per hour and that ranges from $15 - 50.
once you get your zumba license, you may be encouraged to get a group fitness certification through AFAA or ACE (i'm a fitness instructor and i heard that's happening now)

Ok great, Jani has a training coming up, but it's the same weekend as dh's 35th so I'll probably do the next one. I know Tanya is the one on the infomercial! was Jani any good?
I'm not sure if I would do it at an actual gym or rent a space out somewhere weekly .

Re: Becoming a certified Zumba Instructor
I say go for it, but not to be a Debbie Downer....
The Market is saturated with Zumba instructors. You also have to compete with the pros who are Zumba jammers, teaching master classes, etc.....
Not that there isn't room for new talent, but it's so competitive and insane out there right now! It's expensive.... Do it because you love it, but don't do it if you think you will be making lots of extra money.... You have to pay 30 dollars a month for your licensure on top of that!
