Balloon Sinuplasty procedure
Has anyone ever had this procedure done or a deviated septum surgery? I am having both of these done next month?

Re: Balloon Sinuplasty procedure
I had all those, plus sinus reduction and nasal polyp removal.

Re: Balloon Sinuplasty procedure
Hard to say, it depends on what you mean by recovery. Do you have any particular questions about activities?
The majority of the pain is the first 3-4 days, and also depends when your followup appointments are since the appointments will sort of rile things up in the area and make some pain.
Even still, I may have taken 3 or 4 percs for the whole thing - I was able to manage pain with extra strength tylenols. The deviated septum is the thing that will cause you the most pain.
Fully recovered, able to bend over without pain, I'd probably say 2-3 weeks.

Re: Balloon Sinuplasty procedure
I had my septum corrected, my turbinates shrunk, my maxillary sinuses opened up and polyps removed.
The surgery itself wasn't bad at all. The recovery was pretty quick. I did have some dizziness but I think it was from the meds. The worst for me - was that I had packing in for 24 hours. After that was removed the only thing that was a pain was when they drained you at the ENT to check for clots. I have not had an infection since (had it in 2003). Best thing I have every done.
