nice town for single moms

which towns/school districts are accepting of single moms? Thanks

I don't think any town are NOT accepting of single moms b/c it is a lot more common than years pass...

I was a single mom for the 1st 5 years of my son's life.. I lived in Valley Stream and while it was almost 12 years ago I found that I was one of the ONLY single moms in the "activities" my son was signed up for...

But then again, he wasn't in school yet.

I live in Greenpoint Brooklyn now... granted, I'm married and my son is in middle school, but I find that city schools have a lot more single moms... I am not basing that on any research/data... but through the activities that my son is involved, I have met a lot of single moms... Again- he never went to a LI school... so I wouldn't know how LI areas are for single moms...

I never herd of a school district that was

against single moms. I was a SM for 5 yrs

as well and NEVER thought about a school

not accepting single parent families. Schools

are all the same to me when it comes to a

family's dynamic.

I am a single Mom. I dont find any particular towns to be more SM friendly or anti-single Mom. Same goes for school districts. These days..there are many single parents and it is very accepted by most people.
