Moving.....best place to get boxes *FREE*
Hi All,
Started to pack up for an anticipated move.....i'm in need of boxes of all sizes, what are some of the best places to ask for them. Not looking to buy if i dont have to.

Check Craiglist...people usually post them under "free" when they're done with their moves.

Am I the only one who is skeeved out by the idea of getting boxes from grocery stores or strangers? You never know what creepy crawlies could be lurking in the boxes or have laid eggs there or something...

Guess so, but even if you buy boxes from a place, it's not like they're all wrapped in plastic wrap or anything...they're usually loose so things can get in anyway.

Do you know anyone who works at an office?
We fly through paper boxes and are always putting them out to recycling. See if any of your family or friends can bring some home for you.

Yeah, definitely. I guess I just think of it as one less place that something can get in it.

if you're hiring a mover they usually give you boxes. my mover did.

My friend used to work at Bed, Bath & Beyond and she told me to ask there. (We're moving too)

I just recycled a ton of moving boxes! Sorry. Doctor's offices/pharmacies are a great place to get good sized strong boxes. You just need a good friend/connection....
