Do you have a problem wearing a red dress to someone else's wedding?
I have heard mixed reviews....though never really thought it was a problem..lol.
It is just a classic satin Calvin Klein cocktail dress.
Just wanted to hear your thoughts!

Nope. IMO it's better than when everyone shows up in black!! As long as the bride isn't Asian (red is the traditional color for brides, so I feel it would be like showing up in white to an American wedding).

ITA. We had many English/Irish guests where it's considered bad luck or at the least in poor taste to wear black to a wedding. I looooooooooved the colors. I can't remember if anyone wore red specifically, but if they did, I didn't mind!
I had actually never heard of red being frowned upon until LIF- except for the Asian wedding thing, of course.

Agree. A guest did this at my wedding & if i had thought of it at the time
I would have had it photoshoped a diff color. I did not like it at all. JMHO

Agree. It does stand out in pictures. I love red, but it is definitely a "look at me" color. For a wedding, I'd personally pick a different color as not to take away from the bride.

i don't see a problem with this at all. its not like you can start telling people what to wear to a wedding unless you specifically put black tie and even then, someone can show up in a red ballgown.

I never would, but that's only because of my background. Generally, most Eastern Europeans consider it in very bad taste to wear red to a wedding.
