So, I have a Happy Eater!

No! Not Mason! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Brayden... Mason's 8 month old baby brother.
I don't even know how to feed a baby that loves table food and can take a handful of Puffs, carrots, peas, etc in his hand and shovels it in his mouth. Then smiles!!
Even picked up on using the sippy cup perfectly after the 2nd try. I bought about 15 for Mason b/c I thought I was buying the wrong ones b/c he couldn't use it till around 15 months.
I don't have to rush him out of the highchair b/c he's going to gag, throw up or choke.
Mason cried when I gave him steamed carrots so Brayden ate his than Mason's.

Is this what it's like with a sibling?
Sometimes I wonder if it's b/c of the difference in how they were born. Mason's HR dropped traumatically, may have lost some oxygen and had to have a Crash C. THe OB said he came out SCREAMING. DH and I didn't know why the OB mentioned that b/c we thought it was normal.
Brayden was a scheduled c and it was very calm birth. WHen i didn't hear him cry when he first came out the OB said that's normal.

My son has the same issues with eating...and I had the same type of delivery.

Same issues with eating, and I did have a similar problem with birth, though the oxygen rate stabilized and I did not wind up with a c-section.

Funny, my son came out wailing too, and at the time I thought it was good. Maybe it is, who knows?

I think for c section they're not supposed to cry bc they didn't go thru the canal.

Ahhh, no that would make sense about not crying.

I meant to say, I'm glad you have a happy eater! We only have one child, so all I know is the scenario you describe, oh how I hated the gagging! But my nephew eats so well--he's 2, and will eat most things you put in front of him. My sister complained that he's getting picky, but every time I see him, he's doing pretty well.

It's a beautiful thing!
