For those that have an Etsy store...?
Did it take you a while to make your first sales? Do you start to make more sales once you have made a few because of things like referrals? Do you purchase any of their added options like showcases and keyword searches? What works best for you to promote your shop?

It is very hard work. You have to constantly market yourself on and off Etsy. Have you read the sellers handbook? Also the forums have a ton of useful information.
You need to join teams, etc. Make sure you know about SEO, work on your tags and titles, and your photos have to be great as well.
Don't do those search ads, its a waste of money.
