put away the doppler and let that boy sleep and grow!!!!!!! what are you going to do when he's home, stand over him and watch him breathe for 5 hours straight?? (ok that is acceptable the first few nights... but after that you'll be too exhausted to do that anyway ).
although i never had to go through labor, my best advice is just dont have a rigid plan. because the body does what it wants and there is no controlling how you will labor. you can fear the worst and it might be fine or you can have a grandiose plan and then need lots of intervention. with labor there are no rules or standards or things to anticipate. what will be will be and the sooner you accept that, the more pleasant the experience will be for you. fear will only hinder the experience!!

Re: checking in!
Congratulations!!!
I remember that stage, I was just so excited to finally meet my little girl.
I agree with Flowerwife re: labor - your body will make the decisions for you! For some reason I wasn't terrified, I think I just tried to keep it all out of my mind and I just went with a whatever happens happens attitude. Of course after she was born I couldn't get over the fact that I had actually pushed her out!!
Good luck!!!
