Spinoff to my Sesame post- possible to return to the park on the same day?
This is related to my other post about making Sesame Place a day trip. I think why we would like to stay over is if DS gets tired in the middle of the day we would like to think we could take him to the hotel, have him nap and then go back for a couple of hours. Does the park let you reenter? How much is parking? Would it be a major PITA to get in the car, go back to the hotel and then go back to the park? TIA!!!!

I believe as long as you get your hand stamped before leaving, you can re-enter the park same day. I don't remember how much parking was, though.

if you are staying at a hotel you can just use their shuttle and not pay for parking!

Sesame Place is a small park. It is close enough that you can go back and forth in a day. I thought it was not worth the trouble of packing and spending the night at a hotel, esp if you can get back home in 2 hours.
We went when DS was 16m and then again when he was 2. Both times we went we were at the park for 3-4 hours. We thought that was plenty of time at the park and DS was pooped.
That being said, you could totally go back to your hotel and re-enter. Because we did not stay the whole day, we were never able to see the parade and only got to watch 1 show per time we went. You could probably plan better with wet/dry rides.

We did exactly that. It was nice to go back to the hotel to rest (for all of us!) and then have more "steam" to continue on with the fun. I can't remember what the cost for parking was though.

if your DC is tired then most likely they will nap in the stroller...
my DD was never a napper.. and esp in the stroller. when we went to sesame place when she was 11 months old, she actually napped in her stroller, which was a miracle in itself.
i would not get a hotel just for the sole purpose of napping.. rent a cabana and for the day at sesame place.. worth it

Yes, you get your hand stamped and keep the receipt for the parking lot and you can come and go as you please. We did that the first year we went with just my oldest and it was perfect. We got there when the park opened, were able to leave and let him have a nice nap and then went back for dinner with the characters and he wasn't a melt-down mess ;)
