How to compare salaries w/similar positions elsewhere?

I'm working on requesting a raise. I feel what I'm doing now definitely justifies me asking. I'm going to write up a letter and would like to back that up with print outs of other salaries? Does anyone know of the best place to get these? Also, how many do you think is good to print out?

And any other tips are more than welcome!

Maybe check glassdoor.com-i usually look on there when researching salaries. Not sure it's something though that you could use officially to support your desired increase. Good Luck!

I too always look on Glassdoor. Robert Half also releases a comprehensive listing that compares salaries by position, title and region so it's worth taking a look at.
