nursing covers...
Which do you recommend? Are they all essentially the same?

Re: nursing covers...
Honestly, I usually just use a blanket. I LOVE the Aden and Anais blankets for this. They're huge and I just tie a knot in the corners and put it over my head. And they're so light and airy that I don't worry about suffocating about my baby!

Re: nursing covers...
I use the one from uddercovers.com. Use code "child" and you will only pay for shipping, great deal!

Re: nursing covers...
I second the Aden + Anais blankets. So much more coverage and they are a lot more lightweight than regular nursing covers.

Re: nursing covers...
I foujnd using just a blanket cumbersome. I like the opening that the udder cover provides. Highly suggest it to everyone.

Re: nursing covers...
i got the free one from uddercovers and honestly, i wasn't thrilled. when i nursed DS (who does happen to be a big baby, but still...), it didn't cover him well and i kept flashing my nipples to our visitors. what i did like it for was pumping. i had to pump in my car several times, and it worked well for that and i was easily able to see what i was doing.

Re: nursing covers...
I ordered the mama au lait nursing cover and unfortunately did not order in time for delivery. I really wished I had it then, maybe I would have nursed better. 2 hrs after delivery I was bombarded by visitors and it didnt stop until I left. I was so self conscious of nursing its not fair!
Anyways, next time, I will be sure to bring my mama au lait cover to the hospital at least I will b less self conscious.

Re: nursing covers...
I had an uddercover that I got for free, and the metal came out of the top after a while, so I bought a Hooter Hider and it is sooooo much better. My SIL has a Peanut Shell and the Hooter Hider is way better than that one too - she uses mine sometimes (and I have used hers) and we both like the Hooter Hider much better. It has the best coverage (and it is really cute with ruffles!) - It is much wider than the others and has much thicker material.
A blanket never worked for me - I was always nervous about it coming down. IMO spend the $40 and take the stress out of nursing in public.

Re: nursing covers...
My vote goes to blanket.it is more convenient & DD is familiar with that particular piece, defining her, it’s time to feed!
